Thanksgiving Leftovers And Your Pet

Thanksgiving leftovers for your Pet

We all do it! I like to share Thanksgiving leftovers with my dog Usher. I always suggest consulting with your vet if you have any doubts on foods you can give to your pet.

Here are some of the leftovers I give but I limit the quantity. Cut it all up and mix together.

  • White meat is better, be sure to remove the skin and any excess fat

  • Cooked carrots or raw

  • Cooked beans or raw

  • Cooked potatoes; refrain from giving mashed potatoes because we tend to add things like garlic, scallions, butter and milk, these are not good for our pets.

  • Cooked Sweet potatoes

  • Cook Squash

  • Cooked Zucchini

And for dessert mix in a little natural yogurt and add in a little sprinkle of cinnamon.

  • Blueberries

  • Raw or cooked apple

  • Banana

  • Dried cranberries

Have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
